Pain can reduce one's breath reserve and capacity but that is not the same as "pulmonary blockage".  The lung does not have pain receptors.  The lining of the lung, the pleura, does and can give the pain called pleurisy.  It is more likely, given the reduction of pain with the use of a heating pad, that your pain is originating somewhere in the chest wall, which includes the ribs, cartilage, pleura, muscles and the intercostal nerves that run along the ribs.

The information provided suggests that you may have normal lungs.
