Am I the only person in the world who hates Flovent?

Am I the only person in the world who hates Flovent?

LOL!

Weird question :) Was started on it a few days ago.... I do not like it :( I honestly started feeling so much worse on the sencond day of it, then I actually read the paitent info that came with it. ( I usually try not to! ) I have quite a few of the side effects listed and the worst was the chest pain and worsening asthma and this is only day 3 so far. I was up all night and could not breathe well even with rescue inhaler so went to the ER and got the very same Doctor who prescibed it... She gotta kinda weird on me and just insisted that I Keep on with this medicine to give it a fair try and it will make me feel so much better. I dident mean to question her judgement, I just feel so sick on it. And this is only day 3! So anyone out there is this kinda the general experience with these things I am hoping she is right and I am just adjusting to the meds tho for some reason my body is not loving it right now. I have read a few posts on here that mention inhaled steroids being sucky sometimes side effects wise, lol :) She just wanted to do this before trying oral ones for some reason... I have been on oral and also q-var before, But I dont ever remember feeling this ickky. She also told my husband to "make sure" I take this stuff.... So I all tho I feel awful and need old trusty rescue inhaler to bail me out minutes after I take it. (sigh) :) Any experiences I would love to hear thanks so much. This group is AWESOME, I am learning alot about this thing and hoping maybe even this is just a temp hump and Im back on my way to playing with 2 yr. old again :) Thanks!

If you are getting symptoms right after you use the flovent then it defintely is not for you!!

I would get an appointment with a different doctor in a walk-in clinic and get something else.  Until you can do that you can try taking your rescue inhaler before you take the flovent.

I was recently on advair which part of it is the flovent and I did not enjoy it, muscle cramps and exhaustion without it helping my asthma any.  The steroid I like a lot is pulmicort, it worked very well for me.

Good luck and let us know how everything works out.
