You really require an in-person examination by a physician, preferably a pulmonary spacialist. As others have mentioned, asthma can be life-threatening. It is impossible to provide an evaluation of your breathing difficulties in an internet forum. Please make an appointment with a physician in the near future.
Things you can consider: Some people find dairy makes the asthma worse. Try stopping it for a couple of weeks to see if you improve. Try drinking green tea with mint as this is beneficial as an antiinflammatory. Another thing linked to asthma is GERD. So if you have heartburn or think it's possible you get reflux, such as bad breath, it is possible that acid is burning your throat and giving you asthma.
Hello Portia,
Just finished reading your comments. I have asthma too. Don't want to
scare you, but asthma attacks can be extremely dangerous. Until you
get your asthma under control, which it obviously isn't now, I would not
participate in any sports. You need to go back to your doctor and tell
your doctor what is happening. Asthma attacks can be life threatening.
You can't ignore this. Go to your doctor. Your asthma is not under control.
