Asthma and Inderal (Propranolol)

Hello,

I have tremors and my doctor prescribed me Inderal for only small dosage, because Propranolol increases the Asthma. I asked him if tacking Inderal with Singulair would prevent the Asthma reaction but he asked me to check with an asthma specialist.

Is there any problems taking these 2 drugs together ? and does Singulair help in this case ?

Thanks,

There shouldn't be any problem with taking Singulair with any other medication, but your should check with your pharmacist.

A better question would be, "Is there an alternative to a beta-blocker for you tremors?"  What is causing your tremors?  Parkinsons disease has it own set of medications that are not beta-blockers like Requip.  Would an anti-seizure medication be effective in your situation?  The cause of the tremors would have to determine what medication would be best for you, but I would definitely look for an alternative.  Beta-blockers cause breathing problems for people without asthma, so I doubt you could get by with Singulair to prevent breathing issues.

My two cents.
Take care and God bless.
