Breathing the dust in Iraq, during storms and running.

I'm currently in Iraq and we have lots of dust in the air, especially during dust storms.  My main question is about breathing the dust during storms and running.  Soldiers are running when we have lots of dust in the air.  As a nurse I advise them not to be outdoors at all if possible, but yet i see my Soldiers running daily in this dust.  Any information you can point me to that I can show them how bad this is for their health.  Thanks, CPT Meador
