I think I might have Asthma

For whatever reason I happen to have a reoccurring stabbing feeling that occurs whenever I breathe in deeply, I can't even seem to sneeze sometimes because when I breathe in deeply before the sneeze I get a stabbing feeling that feels like it is originating from behind my shoulder blade, and it'll go away for a week come back for two weeks and then go away again, if anyone had any suggestions it would be of greatly appreciated, I plan on going to my GP and seeing what his opinion of all this is. I have a buddy with asthma and he thinks I might have it but then again he's not a medical professional so I would greatly value more suggestions.

Hi,

I was going to ask about gallbladder and/or kidney stones .. both can have piercing pain upon inhalation in the shoulder region .. I have had both :(

Please let us know what your doctor says and how you're doing .. we'll be thinking of you for sure!

Thank you for chatting with me on this, I'm planning to see my doctor on Friday or Saturday depending on my schedule but I really appreciate the feedback on this subject, after I visit my doctor depending on what he says I may see a chiro, only reason I'm skeptical is because moneys a bit tight but if my healths in jeproady at all from anything, I'd rather know sooner then later.

Thank you again for all the help in this matter.

Yeah, I am very skeptical of chiros as well, but they can help some problems. I suggest you see an MD to see what they can do.  If the diagnosis is muskulo-skeletal then try a chiro for a while.  I would say about 2 months.  If it helps great, if it doesn't, then you may want to see a pain management specialist or ask for a referral to a physical therapist.

I had a rib pop out of place from sever coughing.  The initial symptom was severe, stabbing pain just under the shoulder blade, but the displacement didn't show up on the rib detail series.  After a a few months, I was experiencing pain in the area of the gal bladder, so my GP ordered ALL the GI tests for that which were negative.  He then referred me to a GI.  Although he was extremely rude to me in the office, my GP (whom I do trust) accepted his diagnosis as a pinched nerve from a dislocated rib.

I did try a chiro for a while.  After no relief with that problem, I asked for another plan and saw a pain managment doc who referred me to an amazing PT.  After about 1 1/2 years of seeing him off and on after every cold I got, he finally got me to a point that I can "fix" it myself.  :D  Another excellent PT did tell me that my rib is popped out the wrong direction from the norm.  I think that could be why the chiro couldn't help that.

I will say that the chiro did an amazing job on TMJ.  I had constant head aches and neck pain, but after just one adjustment for TMJ, those symptoms stopped.  He also did help my sciatic nerve problem.  However, that does come back from time to time.

Soooo.... after a good MD exam and propper diagnosis, a chiro may not be a bad idea.

Take care and God bless.

I have not fallen recently however it seems to happen when I spend a lot more time doing strenuous lifting or doing yard work all day and things that require me to be leaning over, I have been told I have scoliosis as well but I'm not sure what to think as that was from a chiropractor and I'm not very trusting of people who are trying to sell you stuff, or suggest you need this and that treatment because of something you're not even sure you have.

Hi, you need to see your doctor.  There are many possible problems from musculo-skeletal to asthma or cardiac problems.

Did you have a fall or in some other accident before the pain started?

Take care and feel better.  Please keep us posted.
God bless.
