Itch before asthma attack

Hello! I've read here in the forums that there are people who get a deep itch inside their lungs before/during an asthma attack. Aside from the itch deep in the lung, I can an itch on the right side along my waist. It's funny because usually it starts out with the waist itching and then the lung starts. Does anyone know what the mechanism for this is and does it mean that I have more of a problem on the right? THANX!

I was searching the internet for my cousin on this very topic.  She has the exact same thing - intense itching on her right side around the waist area - right before she gets an asthma attack.  So, even though no one has answered your question, it is nice to know that she's not the only one.

For those who get the itch, we should consider ourselves lucky. At least for me, if I puff on the inhaler when I have the itch, I am able to stop the attack from coming. This forum is awesome because it helps us realize that we're not the only one with some weird symptoms. I'm happy that I have that warning signal.
