Long lasting cough

My daughter started with cold simptoms 3 weeks ago first cough then fever . Took her to doc gave her cough medicine and started neb albuterol right away. After turning back 2 times back at doc office still takeing albuterol and pulmicort now forr a week , she still has a cough and do not feel any better. What sould I do?

You don't mention if she has asthma? I'm going to assume she does, as she is being prescribed both maintenance and quick relief inhalers. Taking Pulmicort for one week is not long enough for symptoms to completely clear up. Her cough though should be lessening over time. Does she still have a fever? Having a fever would been that she has an infection and would possibly require antibiotics. If her cough starts getting worse, then I would bring her back in. But if it is gradually improving then you are on the right track with the medications she is taking.
