Severe coughing, vomitting, and shortness of breath...PLEASE HELP!

I have severe sinus issues.   I was born in Missouri and never had any issues with my sinus while living in Missouri.  I moved to Florida 15yrs ago, and began having issues with my sinus about 7yrs ago.  I have seen several specialist for sinus within the years, and have had just about every prescription on and off the counter for allergies.  My symptons have gotten worst.  Within the last year, I started having shortness of breath, and recently was diagnosed with asthma.  I have a severe cough, that cause me to vomit daily.  I have issues when eating, as the food often seem to get stuck and I am not able to breath until I vomit.  I experience severe coughing majority of the day, and it increases throughout the night.  I am running out of ideas and seeking resolution immediately as I becoming terrified as my conditions worsen....Please give me any suggestions

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The other causes for long term cough besides asthma are GERD and post nasal drip from allergies. GERD is gastro esophageal reflux disease where the stomach acids come back into the esophagus and spill into the wind pipe causing cough. Treatment with antacids will help neutralize the acids. Post nasal drips can occur with sinusitis and throat infections. Giving up cigarettes will abolish smoker's cough in 90% of people. Talk to your GP about the other causes for cough in the meantime you could try warm salt water gargles and breathing exercises. Also, have yourself reevaluated for Asthma, to see if its adequately controlled.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

A natural remedy that works for me is eating pineapple (bromelain) and watermelon (antioxidants).
If you have a health food store get some Lobelia for the asthma to clear out the inflamation in the body that causes asthma.

Hi,

What kind of doctor have you been working with?  You need to be seeing a good allergist to control all your triggers.

Do you have any questions about your medications and how to use them.  Asthma can be over whelming.

Something for you to consider is AERD.  It usually starts in the mid 30's with the same progression you desribe.  Here a link to a thread about it.

I hope you find answers soon.

God bless.
