Strange Advair side effects

I was dianosed with asthma back in April 2006 after going to the doctor for bronchistis.  I was only given a rescue inhaler at that time.  Eventuality I felt I was using the rescue inhaler too much.  Several times a week; so I went back to the doctor and he prescribed me Singular; which seemed to work but after researching the side effects I only used it as I needed it. Mostly in the winter and spring.  My asthma started acting up about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I started taking the Singular everyday and it didn't seem to be working; I had a tight feeling in my chest and was having to use my inhaler again.  I went to the doctor on Friday and was prescribed Advair 100/50.  I've taken 2 doses so far and after each dose I've experienced a headache and a tingling sensation on my lips and a burning sensation on my tongue.  I've rinised after each use.  I didn't really want to try Advair after reading all the side effects but its helped some.  I'm not taking the Singular right now...don't really think I need it and Advair both.  I'm not wheezing or anything like that.  My mother also has breathing problems and was prescribed Advair and her tongue swelled.  I told my doctor this as well.  I've never taken any other meds for my asthma...any suggestions?

Use Flovent HFA instead of Advair.

It it the dominant drug of Advair without the Serevent.
