I am not trying to sound funny, but try a different doctor. Write down your symptoms and how long they have been going on and go to a different doctor.
I would recommend that you either revisit your doctor and be very frank with him about how your asthma symptoms are affecting your life. It sounds like the cold put you in a flare and you are going to need more attention to get over it. Most doctors would start you on a combination medication like Advair, Symbicort or Dulera. These medication have both an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and a long acting broncho dilater (LABA). The ICS component can take up to 2 weeks to start feeling it full effect, while the LABA part will be effective immediately to relax and open your airways. Along with that, your doctor should give you directions to use your rescue inhaler (a form of albuterol) regularly for about a week.
Take care and feel better.
you have to be treated for your ashtma...it is better to go to the pulmonologist so that what you are complaining about will be address and treated..and also you should know what causes you to attack ashtma, your allergies like in food, the weather
