Unfortunately, despite the side effects, asthmatics often have to take immune suppressants such as prednisone. There are many excellent web sites about asthma, and some lung exercises. Accupuncture somtimes helps. You need to research these sites and evaluate your home and work area to reduce the presence of triggers. Dust mites, dust, chemicals.Rugs. You need a bare floor and furniture that has a smooth, easily cleaned surface. Have your apartment painted in semi-gloss. Flat paint collects dust and particles mof the paint get into the air.  Wet mop your apartment. Purchase an electrostatic dust particle eliminator for your bed room. Foillow the instructions on your inhaler precisely. Exhale to the limit of possibility, Soray the medication while inhaling to the limit mof possibility, and hold your breath at the top of the cycle. If you use more than one puff, leave two full minutes between puffs. A puff of albuterol sulfate before nthe other meds will make them more effective. Gargle with water if you use an arosol steroidaln spray to avoid throat infections. And avoid people with colds and shaking hands. Long term steroidal use makes you more susceptible tom infection. Asthmatic attacks are terrible events and the affliction is taken far too lightly by the general public.  More research is needed to find treatments and cures.

you probably won't become impotent but there are risks with any medication.

Take your medication or you'll just suffocate and die.
