I have coughing issues with a tight chest on and off. I often feel it as a raw burning feeling in my chest. Its especially bad after I have a cold or on bad smog days. I get on average 3 or 4 chest colds a year and they last a good 4 weeks when I get them. I currently have the third I've had this year. I have yet to actually get to the doctor when I'm feeling breathless and tight. When I do go I mention it to him but he says I sound fine. I had a horrid coughing fit last night and a tight chest all night but by the morning I was fine. Is it possible to have asthma and not have wheezing? And is there some way to test for it?
