bronchitis and asthma

i'm 23 years old, and a mining engineer. i've recently been diagnosed with bronchitis but the doctor said i could be asthmatic. how do the two illnesses relate?and if i have bronchitis what kind of diet should i consider? why do i feel so weak and tired at times is that also part and parcels of bronchitis? thanks!!!

ok so your occupation has to be considered when diagnosing as do other factors in your past medical history and that of your family. the diagnosis can be made by taking a full history, by monitoring your symptoms and by a lung function test called spirometry. have you had  this as this helps to differentiate between bronchitis and asthma.? They ARE
different but can co-exist. Do you smoke? The treatments for these conditions differ so it is important to diagnose accurately. With asthma there is likely to be what is called
reversability but bronchitis is considered as irreversible airways disease. I am sorry to sound so medical but i am trying to emphasize how important it is to diagnose correctly.
the management plan will depend on diagnosis. Has the doctor made arrangements fo
carry out tests to diagnose? You can feel weak with respiratory problems. have you had a blood test?:
pulmonary rehabilitation which in essence is guided exercise plans to strengthen the lung and improve function can help.
