is this my asthma playing up?

3 yrs ago i had some vaccines and after a week i started coughing badly. I felt like i had something stuck in my  throat, dr diagnosed me with adult onset asthma. I have had a couple of breathless episodes but otherwise im ok. I had my seasonal flu vac in oct and i was ok, i had the swine flu vac on tues and  im coughing like im goin to choke and ive got a sore throat. Ive not had to use my reliever yet this year, should i use it? My p.f if good so im not sure if it is asthma! Dos anyone have any advice please!

If you do get the swine flu, it is definately one that hits the lungs hard. My daughter had the swine flu and she has mild asthma. She did a lot of hard coughing, but her peak flows stayed relatively well. If you get more then 20% below your best peak flow, then don't be afraid to take your reliever. Otherwise, stay well hydrated, get lots of rest and keep an eye on your peak flows.
