left lung pain


I have suffered from asthma for 25yrs, as well as pleurisy. I now live in spain which has been a great help with my problems. At the moment it is very hot and close, and I keep having a constant dull ache below my left breast and my shoulder blade. My left side does ache when I breathe. Any ideas because I am getting worried.

By your description, the left-sided 'ache when I breathe' suggests pleurisy.  You should not assume that this is the same pleurisy you have experienced in the past, caused by the same disease.  You should see your doctor and get a chest x-ray to determine if there is a new disease process, a collapsed lung or other.
