my youngest son 8has asthma and right now he has been coughing alot and coughin rubbish up,how do i make it easier for him to clear his chest.

If this is new, you might want to talk to his doctor as he might have an infection if he is bringing up stuff, especially if it not clear mucous. I know that with a gagging cough, mucous does come up and is usually clear to white, that is the only time I have noticed mucous in myself. Either way, it sounds like something is triggering his asthma, maybe his meds need adjusting. Sunny
