my wife platelet count 165000. she worried. pls tell your suggestion

sir , i am poor english pls understand. my wife asthma patient. she did recently blood test platelets count 165.. five month back malaria attacked.some times fever 99 or 100 degress.she  she was sick. what  your suggestion sir  ?

Hi there, your wife has a low platelet count. You did not state if her white blood cell count was high or low, but because she's asthmatic, it's might be high. You might need to have her go for a complete blood cell count.
You stated that she had malaria about 5 months back, and depending on the type of anti malaria drug used,it might have caused a low platelet count. Quinines cause a destrucution of platelets,so there is a possibility of low platelet count.

There are natural ways, especially through diet by which the platelet count can be enhanced or increased. These include:
Taking green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli,cabbage.
She should eat fruits such as  banaanas,oranges, grapes.
Taking moderate amounts of dairy products, which is a good source of calcium.
The vegetables and fruits mentioned are sources of Vitamin K, which is required for full platelet activity, such as clotting.
Ensure that she has enough rest, and does less of strenous activities.

You stated that that she does have fever, and this definitely suggests the presence of an infection, with this observation it is strongly advised that you see a doctor as soon as possible to determine the cause of the fever.
