pain on both sides of my ribs

I have recently been experiencing sharp pain on both sides of my ribs. I usually associate with my asthma, but until yesterday it hasn't happened for a long time. It hurts a little to take a deep breath, but most of the time is just a constant pain. What could be the cause of this problem other than possibly my asthma?

If it's happening still I would see a doctor. Are you coughing or having an extra trouble with your breathing, or is it -just- pain on your ribs? It is bronchitis and pneumonia season, so you want to make sure you're healthy.
