I got pneumonia 2 times, what can i do to prevent me from getting it again.

Good luck.  I have pneumonia now and do not even know how I got it.  I was told that pneumonia does not discriminate to attack during specific seasons, it will attack in all seasons.  The first thing to do is find out what kind of pneumonia you have.  Is it viral or bacterial.  If it is viral, the best thing to do is practice proper sanitation, protect yourself from the harsh elements of the environment by using diet and exercise to boost your immune stystem.  Do not smoke, if you smoke, quit.  If it is viral, it is spread through sneezing and coughing.  If it is bacterial, you need to find the source of the bacteria, find out if it is in your home and eliminate it.  I dont know how old you are but if you are old, or if you have asthma or allergies, you should speak to your doctor about getting a pneumonia shot.  I think it lasts for 5 years.  It may not prevent the pneumonia completely but it will help prevent your chances of getting the pneumonia.  Hope this helps, take care.
