problem with breathing

I was diagnose with asthmatic  bronchitis the DR said it was from the mold spores because of the wet year we had this last summer. I had a bad cough breathing was off .taking symbacort  and using a inhaler.
I also had a deviated septum and was diagnose with no allergy sinusitis  about 10 years ago. have always had phlegm .
Since I had the bronchitis last summer my breathing has been off
Any suggestions on what to do. I have taken allegra .and i use sybicort

Do this pranayam for 30 minutes, twice a day, regualarly. The extra oxygen going into the lungs will boost your systems. Let me know how you feel after 12 weeks.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Getting the deviated septum fixed may help with the phelgm.  The infected phelgm and mucus could be draining down your throat and causing the chronic bronchitis because the body is unable to fully clear the infection since there is constant mucus drainage.  The lungs then are reacting to the high level of inflammatory and immune system cells present and thus causing the constriction and asthma symptoms.

The inhalers will work to lower the inflammation and open the airways but it will not go away until you find and stop what is irriating your lungs.  You should see an ENT surgeron to determine how bad the deviated septum is and how you can fix it (normally an easy day surgery - I took a week off of work from it but I was fine after 5 days - however mine was not bad enough to need to break my nose which would increase the recovery time).  If the septum is deviated enough, it could stop proper drainage of the mucus - which would cause a sinus infection and thus the only way for the bacteria full mucus would be to drain down your throat and lungs (see where I'm going?).  Once the septum is straight, the mucus should drain properly out of the front of your nose and hopefully won't bother your lungs.

Second, an allergist would be able to determine whether you have any allergies that may affect your lungs.  If you are not allergy to the mold spores present, then no the lung symptoms are not from the wet year. It would also help to find out if there are any allergies that may be acting up the sinuses that have developed in the last 10 years since your sinuses were checked.

The ENT would be the first person I would go see.  good luck and let us know how it goes!!

oh, and nasal rinses may help you majorly to remove the mucus from your nose and sinuses before it drains down your throat and possibly into your lungs.  And I trust that you are not a smoker and stay away from second hand smoke because that can cause all the symptoms you describe as well.
