can prednisone and cortisone be taken tgether

both of those drugs are steroids and just by taking both of them you are greatly increasing the sideeffects of them.  There are times where different methods of steroids should and can be taken together (nasal spray and asthma inhalers for example).  The best thing to do would double check with your doctor or pharmaticst to make sure they are aware that you are taking both of them.

The answer is yes, but in general the idea is to minimize the use of steroids, especially those that work systemically. Prednisone is commonly administered with a pill.  The general drill is to try to control asthma with no steroids, if possible, and if steroids are used to provide them with an inhalation system that restricts their action to the lung surface. That does not mean that oral steroids may not be necessary in emergencies or under special conditions.

Both medications should only be taken under the direction of a physician. You really need to discuss this with your prescribing physician.
