turbohaler help!!

Hi, my GP has changed my meds today from seravent, becotide and salbutamol to Symbicort turbohaler. I have never used a turbohaler before and am finding it really hard to "suck" the drug into me! I have read the instructions and followed them to the letter but it just seems really difficult to suck through. Is this normal? or could the turbohaler be faulty? Also does it matter if i hear 2 clicks when loading? Please help as really need it to work! Thanks

Hi the Terbualine inhaler is quite difficult to get used to. You do need it to click twice and you have to make sure that the air vents are clear for it to work properly.

Hope this helps.

make sure that you don't have the air vents covered with your mouth.   My pulmicort turbohaler only has one click so maybe you should ask your doctor or pharmaticist to double check your inhaler.
