xopenex

xopenex

I use xopenex 1.25 mg/3 mL as needed for my asthma. I noticed on the box it says the vials should be used w/in
2 weeks once the foil pouch is opened. I never noticed that and sometimes don't need to use it that frequently. The
solution looks fine and seems to work like it's supposed to, and I frankly can't afford to throw meds away. Also, if
I don't immediately finish a vial in the nebulizer, how long is the fluid ok?

Hi re usage times for asthma med

from what I've been told so long as you keep unopened viles of medication at room temperature and out of the light they should be good for as long as the use by date states However if you have opened and started using a vile I would suspect it is meant for immediate  usage and without speaking to a chemist, would not recommend coming back and using more of it at another time.

hope this helps
