Austim spectrum disorder

Yes hi I'm new to this forum.  My son Colby is 10 years old he has brain damage and IQ of 58 he was born very premature 1lb 3 oz  he had a microarray test done and it showed he was missing a piece of chromosome and he had autism spectrum disorder my question is what does this mean long term for our child and because he functions now will it start to diminsh, also my son fell off the growth chart he is below the 5th percentile weighs between 43 and 44 lbs we are having test after test done with Gi but should we be seeing a endocrinologist? Just need more insight on what this means for our child
