Could this be Asperger's Syndrome?

Hi. I would like to know what the primary symptoms of Autism are for an adult? I am a 25 year old male and since what seems like forever, I have been aware of certain issues I had. I have never had any real social skills.  I have always perceived the the act of socializing or the ability to socialize as rocket science. And I also have issues articulating. I can never express myself in words. I can't in written form either in one go. I usually need to make revisions to make sure what I want to say, I have gotten it right. And no, it's not my language skills. I believe I have a relatively strong command over the English language even though it's not my first language. I consider myself to be intelligent however I have certain issues with my memory. The primary issue is my social skills. I tried treatment and was diagnosed as having depression. I never accepted that diagnosis because to be honest, I don't think I am depressed. I do occasionally feel depressed when I think of these problems. People always ask me why I don't socialize, including my wife. The truth is I don't know how to socialize so I can't but I wish I could. Not that I haven't tried. Once I realized I didn't have these skills, I tried a lot to develop these skills but all my attempts went in vain. So now I pretend that I don't socialize because I am arrogant. It would be great if I could find out the reason to this. I have been searching for an answer since a very long time. And to why I am not good when it comes to speaking. When it comes to speaking, most of the time neither the words I want to use are clear nor the thoughts. Because I lack these skills, I can never express what I have or what I am.

So please tell me, does this sound like a type of autism?
