Echololia

Echololia

Dear Sir,
I am an Iranian Mother of a three year old son. My son has been exposed to english through TV and showed a good development in both english and Persian due to his age. His eye contact is ok.  I stoped exposing him to english because he started talking with himself through interlanguage (nonsense words not persian nor english). Around the age of 2 he said his first word in Farsi and whenever I read some of his english poems like "five little docks went swiming one day" he answered me appropriately. when he started his one word he sometimes said longer chunks like "door opened" but not as a two word sentence but as a word. he is three and 4 months and he knows many words and concepts. At the age of two years old he learned English Alphabet by hiself through playing with talking toys and watching TV. He can read numbers by himself both in Farsi and English. He can count orderly from one to ten in both language. He knows many words in Farsi
His language stage, as I told, is at the level of three word and he can repeat longer sentences but cannot use them functionally. The problems I have are
1.  He is nice with friends but does not initiate friendship
2.  He, sometimes, has echololia. For example, when I tell him "tell give it to me" he said "tell give it to me" but when I say "tell ....[pause] give it to me" he says " give it to me" sometimes when I ask him a question he does not repeat my question and just answer me. When he is alone, he repeats the questions refering to the object we talk and then he answeres himself.
Considering the fact that his play as he develops language becomes more complicated and become more symbolic, and he has the sense of humor as he laughs at something funny, and considering the fact that it is normal in my husband's family to have children with language resistence and delay, Do you think my son's echololia is sign of being asperger.
Best,
Parisa
