First off all......I might be way of the mark as I done know much about ADHD! Well my son is 5 yrs old,6 in October and is primary 1. His teacher first came to me a few months after starting school telling me that he was struggling to
Interact with his classmates, and things are just getting worse! The headteacher would like him to be seen by a phycologist to see if there is Something wrong! I have told the school that if they feel this is necessary then I am happy for them to do so! I was wondering if these symptoms relate to anything?

Can't concentrate
Always on the move
Can't seem to find a proper friend
Picks at his food
Always seeking approval (as in he asks if he's been a good boy all the time)
Tells me he loves me continuously
When his class is doing something altogether he wonders off

Any information would be great as he really worries me.

Have you discussed these concerns with your child's pediatrician?  This is always the best place to start.  Some of what is descibed could be characteristic of a child with ADHD, but I have no idea to what extent these reported behaviors occur--one teachers may see some mild issues and think they are indicative of ADHD, while another teacher could see the same behaviors and classify the child as "a high-energy child"!  For all I know, some behaviors that you mentioned may just be indicative of a school with poor lunches and a boring curriculum!  So, start by asking the pediatrician, and see if he feels a referral to an individual who specializes in children with ADHD is warranted or not.

Good luck!
