my 7 year old

I have a 7 yr old son he was diagnosed with autism at age 2,he is non verbal but very smart. My question is about the medication he is taking the doctor is giving him .1mg of clonidine and 300mg seroquel in the morning 300mg seroquel at 12:00 noon and .2mg clonidine,300mg seroquel and 250mg depakote at bedtime. My sone is now 100pds he has doubled in size Im really concerned about the amount of medication he is giving plus the pharmasist has refused to fill any more seroquel perscription because he feels that is too much 900mg of seroquel per day for a 7 yr old.

Perhaps when you see your doctor you could ask for a referral to a specialist for an assessment for your son? Or is there any organisation you could become a member of, like the National Autistic Society, or an Autism Support group near you which you could join, to  go to meetings and meet up with other parents and get support that way?
Can you look on the internet for them in your area or within travelling distance? Best Wishes from Mutti

You must go back to your doctor and voice your concerns, explaining what the pharmacist has said and about how you feel. If you dont get any satisfactory result from going back to your doctor, you could ask to have a second opinion from another doctor. Best Wishes from Mutti
