5 year old girl in need of potty training

not sure if this is the right "forum" for this question...

Our daughter just turned 5... we were so close to having her potty trained... but the last 2 weeks she has totally gone in the other direction.. 5 -7 accidents a day.. we have exhausted all avenues.. rewarding her.. making a huge deal if she goes, go with her to the bathroom every hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes and so on and so on.. we've done the timeout chair, scolding and then hugging...

we have also seen our family doctor and she says she has no kidney problems either..

Well, I can tell you what worked for my daughter. She is autistic and you didn't say if yours is so I don't know if it will work for her or not. My daughter was 4 or 5, and still not fully potty trained. I had tried everything I could think of. Finally, I decided to just put her in her big girl panties and let her pee herself. She hated the feeling so much that she stopped wetting herself within 2 or 3 days. I didn't punish her, I stayed calm and I just explained to her that she should go on the potty next time.
