Hi!
If your child has autism then arm flapping or hand flapping are typical of autism. However, your baby may be normal as the child only flaps hands when happy or excited. This is normal behavior in a child. If the child has autism, she can have any of these symptoms as well: unusual preoccupations, odd speech patterns, disinterest in people, problems understanding social cues and difficulty controlling emotions. Look out for these cues and note them.  Please discuss this with her pediatrician. Take care!
