Home Schooling for Autistic son

            My son is 5 years old and already diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is currently in an pretty good public school that has a specific section for children with Autism. Although I am not totally unhappy with his schooling, I often feel that they are not challinging him enough so he winds up acting out from boredom. Its a slippery slope because the children in his class all have there own set of problems, but for lack of a better way to put it, he is not quite a severe as them it seems. Actually they all excell in some areas that others do not. At any rate, I thought about buying an RV and traveling across the country with him. I obviously cannot afford to have a teacher tag along. I was wondering if it is even legal to home school him. If so where can I get the qualifications to do so? I am reaching out to anyone who may know anything. I know that a lot of people raise the argument that school helps them learn to socialize, but lets be honest, hes in a class all day of three other students who dont even look at each other, I feel that taking him to experience things that most children do not will be a much better way of implicating social skills. This is just a thought as of now. I always want what is best for him, his therapists think it is a pretty good idea, but I am not sure where to start. I have learned a lot about how to deal, teach and communicate with him from paying close attention to his teachers and therapists, but I have never had any real training on how to teach him his speech and occupational therapies. I know this is a question choc full of information, but if anyone could shine some light on my situation I would be very appreciative! Thank you to anyone who answers!
