Possible Autism in 2 year old

My two year old son is struggling with behaviors. He can be very violent, choking siblings, knocks chairs over,bites,hits,kicks, screams,throws things, gets into to everything.  He is constantly on the go and doesn't stop moving until he falls asleep (litterally). He shows no intrest in the TV as I have tried using the Disney Channel to get him to sit..it didn't work. My son also does not talk other than saying mom and dad. He does not mimic any words nor does he attempt to mimic. He has been receiving speech therapy for 6 months and still has not said a word. There are two older siblings who both started talking at age 1 (they do not talk for him) and a younger sibling who currently says more words than he does. He has recently begun eating paper. He is terified of loud noises (vacuum, trucks, motorcycles, cars, sirens..etc) He walks on his tip toes (with and without shoes), does not play with toys, he only pays attention to other kids if they are leaving the house(he has to go with anyone that is leaving) otherwise does not want anything to do with other kids. We have been refered to a Child Guidance Center, where 3 assessments were done and all 3 scored him on the Autism spectrum. I opted out of a diagnosis and spoke to our family doctor who reviewed the paper work from Speech Therapy and Child Guidance and has now refered us to the Childrens Center for Disabilites for further testing appointment is Sept. 9,2011.
Does this sound like it could be Autism?

I have a 5 yrs son with Autism. He was diagnosed at 3yrs old but I kinda new something was up before then and started early intervention at the age of two. They dont diagnose children untill they are three but it sounds a lot like my son at that age. Its very important to talk to your pediatrican asap about any refferals to your local regional center for state funded services. Also, its very important to get a diagnoses for him because without it it will be very hard to get funded for programs and they are very expensive. I understand everything you are going through but you have to start as much therapy as you can get for him asap the sooner the better it is for him  and your family (OT,Speech,Social groups,and ABA therapy). Your son is unable to express himself and thats why he gets so upset and  acts out but with therapy and time it does get better.If your son does have Autism there are so many programs out there for him and support groups for you and I know its hard and some days you want to just stay in bed and not deal with anything but you have to be strong and continue on because if you dont no one eles will. At first I was in denial and my husband and I didnt except it we went through a grieving process and it took us a while to embrace it but we past that hurdle and just ejoy life.

Thank You!!! My son is currently receiving speech therapy and has been now for 6 months. We have an appointment with the Center for Disabilities and Development on Friday(pediatrican referel). He will have several hours of testing and hopefully by the end of the day we will have some idea of what is going on. We were told that we will not get a complete diagnosis until he meets with a psychiatrist and that won't be until December as they are all booked until then but it does give me some relief to know that when we leave the center on Friday we will have a better idea as to what a diagnosis if any it will be.
