Son not eating

Hello my son is 15 years old.  He is taking Risperdal for a while.   Since school started his behaviors escalated and he slow down in his eating.  His psychiatrist increase the medication and it's helping with behavior but he is not eating well.  he has lost from Oct. until now 8 pounds.   I am very concern, please let me know what kind of problems he might have.

If you think there might be some kind of connection with the medication, then you should go to your doctor and talk about it.
If this lack of eating has started since he began school, then I would be looking to see if anything is happening at school that is distressing him.
Does he go to a school that understands his needs.  What is his diagnosis.  Is he verbal, and can you ask if he is happy at school.
Could he be being bullied, or he doesn't understand what he should be doing, and instructions are not being explained or visually represented to him.  That might cause alot of stress and anxiety.
Does he have any sensory issues?  Is it possible that he is getting over stimulated and when that happens he loses internal body sensations like being hungry/thirsty/feeling hot etc.
