Hi,
How is your son? Bowing of legs or genu varum is a part of the normal development of a child ( physiologic) or due to some disease process ( pathologic) such as in rickets. Physiologic bowing will improve as the child grows without treatment, while pathologic bowing will tend to worsen over time without treatment.  An infant is usually born with bowed legs and over time, the leg alignment will correct and usually straightens out by about eighteen months of age. The speech delay and fits may or may not be related. However, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and do keep us posted.
