concerned about scent

My 6 yr old high functioning son w/autism goes around smelling me when I am on my menstrual cycle. This is extremely uncomfortable, he does it to complete strangers as well...what can I do to make him stop..redirect him? But to what?

I'd tell him not to do that. Maybe in an exaggerated way like "oh no! that's not ok!"  Experiment and find what works. There is always a way to reach a person with autism, it's just a matter of figuring it out.
