My 4 year old daughter recently started to uncontrollably cry hysterically when it is getting time to go to church or for me to leave for work, not at any other time. She stated, after a lot of digging, she was scared no one would ever pick her up from church, but that has never happened before. This doesnt explain the times when I am getting ready to leave for work..

I have aspergers and when i was younger i used to do that then my mom would hug me before she left and i always had something with me that smelled of her that helped some

Children of your daughter’s age do develop unexplained fears, especially if they stay away from their parents for long. It could be simple remarks by person delivering child care like “Behave or your mother won’t come back or come back to pick you up etc etc”.   So, you need to look into this. Also, reinforce your love for your child—how you miss her when you are away, your need to be away, how you try to rush back to her after work etc etc. If she still cries a lot, then please consult a therapist.
