help for my autisticson

by zijiaoliu, Oct 09, 2009 08:49AM
my son is suffered with autistic, although he hasn't been diagnosed yet, but i can tell from the book about autistic spectrum, he is almost matches all of the improtant points.
he is extremely alert to the society in his peers, he is frightened to play with other kids, if someone touched him, he looked so nervous that he tried to escape right away, he has very poor eye contact, if i force him to look at me in my eyes, he would reluctantly to do that ant always end in crying or bad temper.
when he is in good mood, he looks like ok, but still afraid to join in other kids, he has severe speech delay.
doctor said he needs play therapy to get rid of his social immaturity and anxiety. but i cannot get any help since most of the therapy are private and i cannot afford it.(because of him, i cannot go to work and my husband is a self-employee, and we aslo have a 3years old daughter to feed.)
we were immigrated from china 7 years ago, we have no relatives here to help us, so please help me to help my 5 years old son get some social training help.

I am so sorry for what you are going through, I have been there and I feel your pain. Its not easy for a mother to come to terms that her child has Autism. My son, went through all the therapies and nothing helped him, untill I started to do research and found out that their is hope and HELP for Autism. The information is not offerd by Doctors sadly to say. Please go to Autismone.org and start to get information about your sons condition. For me the only help and answeres I recieved was from a DAN doctor, my son today has hardly any signs of Autism it was a long road, but it was worth it when I see him. If I knew 5 years ago what I know now, I know my son would have recoverd faster, but no one helped me. Please know you are not alone there is help and hope.
