possible autism? clenched one fist/clenched foot same side

I am a grandma of a helathy 2 year old   lately he has closed clenched fist. His hand  rarely opens .. On the same side of his body his left foot is also clenched or curls  somewhat  when he doestn have shoes on.   I am very concerned.  He stares a lot  also   What do you thinK??

Have you mentioned this to his doctor/paediatrician?
If not I would go and talk to the doctor about it, especially as it seems to be affecting one side of his body.  It could be something to do with brain development, or some kind of seizures that are affecting one side of the brain.  
With autism there are usually a combination of characteristics that involve speech/social interaction/ridig routines etc.

At 2 years old he is just getting to that stage when he should be becoming more social.  But your post concerned me because it seems to be only affecting one side of his body, which could indicate something else.

Doesn't sound like autism, but is something that needs to be checked out.
