son small for his age dropping below the 0.4th centile

My son is eleven years old and is very small for his age he has learning difficuties and is on the mild end of the autistic spectrum, i am really concerned about his growth and weight his father and i are both 5ft 7 father 5ft 8 hs siblings bar his sister are all tall and in proportion for there age .  He will be twelve in march and is the smallest in his year and is being bullied because of this . His weight is 25kg and is just sitting on the 0.4th centile, his height is 125cm and he hads dropped below the 0.4th centile, i am concerned any advice or info would be great have app with gp next week so bit of advice really what to say and advice to get. Hi!
I am sorry to hear about son. Since both you and his father and his siblings all but one are tall, genetic causes are more or less ruled out. Since he also has other problems, there is a possibility that he has growth hormone and thyroid hormone deficiency. Both these deficiencies cause stunted growth and developmental problems. Weight issues could be due to poor diet, worms in stool, malabsorption syndromes, etc. You need to get blood tests done and consult an endocrine specialist regarding this. Take care!

Hi just an update took my son to gp today and she has refered him to a peadratrician in the first instance she said am really hoping i finnaly get some answers now for callums benefit and mine, just hope we do not have to wait to long thanks again for your response .

Hi we had app with peadratrician she said callum on the small side he has has loads of bloods taken checking full blood count thyriod and wrist x ray although they did it on his right wrist ?? also testing for celiac and allergies or intolerances to wheat milk fish, had all this done last tuesday will i here back from them even if everything is clear as she does not want to see us now till november, would bloods show up if he had any growth disorder etc or will they just wait and see if he grows? am so confused i thought they would of let me no the results his height i had measured wrong he was 131cm tall and 25kg in weight he is twelve and two months now any info would be greatly appriciated many thanks.
