My son is nearly five and his diet has always been limited but now he has just stopped and all he will eat is dry bread what do I do he wont try anything!!!! helpppppppp!
talk to his pediatrician. In the U.S. we have a drink called Pediasure which has vitamins and minerals (it is milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal-based with flavor added such as chocolate or vanilla I think). One of my friends has a girl with severe sensoryNumbness and tingling oral issues and will not eat any food except things like yogurt (liquidy and even then it's a struggle). She drinks a lot of pediasure, as directed by her pediatrician. My daughter has a limited diet too, but we're only using 1 bottle of pediasure a day to supplement her vitamins and giving her a multivitaminMultivitamin Multivitamin with fluoride Multivitamin with fluoride and iron Multivitamin with iron Multivitamin with iron and fluoride Multivitamin with minerals Multivitamin, prenatal Multivitamin-minerals. I, like the other mom, talk to my daughter's pediatrician and run everything through her. I deal with issues like severe constipation because of diet issues and also holding it in which makes it worse. So, doctor directed, I have to give my daughter a small dose of miralax (stool softener) every day. You really need to talk to doctors about diet related things. Guessing it all on your own isn't safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex . And each kid is different. And each kid has different sensoryNumbness and tingling issues. Most kids would not starve themselves if you only gave them food you wanted them to eat... but there are some kids who would go forever if it wasn't what they felt safe eating. I guess there are also different degrees of sensory problems. Does he have a therapist who works with him? Do you have a doctor to talk about this? Like a specialist? Do you do sensory integration therapy with him? If so, can you do some therapy techniques right before he eats? Brush therapy and joint compression therapies really help some kids out. Facial massages sometimes help some kids too. Figuring those things out with a therapist is important.
Good luck. I am dealing with my daughter dropping things out of her diet. Thankfully she'll eat a few items and baby food to get some of her veggies (won't eat the real things).
