My 2 yr old grandson has been hospitalized several times over the past year. Thought it was CMV now saying he was incorrectly diagnosed. Pain in body sometimes cannot walk or turn over. Constant rashes and fever. Sed Rate and CRP continues to be elevated. Infectious Disease doctor thought it may be Rheumatoid but last week that doctor said no because his joints werent swollen that day.?? Now he is being referred to a Neurologist. We just want answers and the correct treatment. We are giving him Motrin and Tylenol daily and for the severe pain he was prescribed Liquid Lortab which we try not to give him. It is really heartbreaking watching him suffer. We just need some answers soon....
I am sorry to hear about your grandson. Fever with bodyache and rash is especially seen in viral fevers, dengue, typhoid, malaria, and H1N1 infection. It can be due to measles, chicken pox, or due to group A streptococcal infection. Other possibilities are rheumatoid arthritis (already being tested for), lupus, Crohn’s disease, H pylori infection, anemia, liver disorders, diabetes, hypothyroidism, Vit B12 or Vit D deficiency and due to calcium or magnesium deficiency. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your grandson’s doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
