Cellcept and back pain

Anyone on cellcept having back pain? I've been having back pain for a couple of weeks now, wake up earlier and earlier in the morning with my back aching and when I move it I get these stabbing pains. It all goes away when I get up, and I've managed to sleep a bit in the morning in a half-seated position, so it's really related to lying down.

I just read someplace that cellcept can cause back pain, but I haven't been able to find any info on what kind of pain. Could this be it? I've been on it for less than 5 months, I've never had similar problems before.

Would just like to say that I have now been on Cellcept for two years and it is a brilliant medication.   I say this as this suits me but obviously everyone has different effects to drugs.

I have mild lupus, raynaulds but primarily have primary biliary cirrosis and auto immune hepatitis.  I had a massive flare up after being intolerant to Azathioprine and then to Mercaptopurine.  Cellcept is a more pure medication and I have totally stabilized from having biliruben level of 87 down to 13.  Alt count 300 down to 49.  I would say give it a fair go and enjoy your life to the full.  I do!

I have been on Cellcept for 5 months for multiple sclerosis. I developed generalized joint pain, lower back pain, and now have a low RBC count. I'm seeing a physical therapist and am taking Celebrex for the joint pain. This is helping. I am waiting for my latest lab tests from my primary physician. I see my neurologist next week. I was on Cytoxan before and would hate to have to return to those infusions.

I see ou wrote this a while back but I am hoping you are still here and will see my question.  I am supposed to start taking Cellcept for Lupus and I can't find anyone who can tell me anything about how they did on it.  Are you there?  Did you have any side effects while on it?
Thanks,
Joni
