Does a very hot climate affect Hashimotos Thyroiditis ?

I have Hashitmoto's Thyroiditis, and live in a very hot climate for 6 months of the year, several weeks of the year being above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average for the other months is 90-95 degrees.  I alway stay inside with the air conditioning and avoid getting outside when the temperatures are above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, because it exhausts me if I'm out in it for more than 2 minutes.  So, is heat intolerance one of the symptoms of Hashimoto's ?   I'm only 54 and would like to manage this autoimmune disorder in every way.  I'm able to move to a cool climate, if that would prevent future damage to my health and organs in the long term..

This is a great question I have been wondering this myself. My symptoms had first popped up when i moved from Chicago to Puerto Rico and I came in August when it was SUPER hot and humid. And I've been wondering ever since if there is a connection! I do believe my Hashi is worse in the heat/humidity (the heat can be exhausting regardless) but I've been here a year and have not had the option to be in colder weather to compare.

I am very interested to see if others have noticed Hashi flare ups in hot weather as well....
