Graves Disease Medication dosage?

I have Graves Disease and was recently reduced from 20mg a day of Neo-mercazole to 5mg.  I was told to stop taking it for 2-days and to start back on 5mg a day.  Apparently my blood test results were just below normal.  Is this unusually low for a dosage.  The reason I ask is because I'm having heart palpitations, anxiety, tremors and I'm feeling weak and exhausted all over again.  I was feeling great on the 20mg and now I feel terrible.

Hi Lisa.
I have Graves, and understand what youre saying.
Are you taking a beta-blocker for the heart palps? A beta-blocker like propanolol, will help with the anxiety, and the heart palps, a great deal.
If youre not on a beta-blocker ask for one.

The 5mg might be a bit low, and you may need a slight increase, you need to get back intouch with the Endo, and tell him you dont feel well on the 5mg, and tell him you felt better on the 20MG, also ask for a beta-blocker at the same time.

Good luck Lisa.
