Graves or Hashimoto´s?

Hi. Two months ago my TSH was 0,04 and started taking propanolol 10 mg and PTU 50 mg a day. 6 weeks later I had a TSH of 15 and anti TPO  Ab of 662 UI/ml and anti TG Ab of 176 UI/ml, now I don´t know if I can have Graves disease or Hashimoto`s disease. Please find a better Doctor.

I have Graves and just had RAI two months ago.  I am currently Hypo now.  My doctor has told me to continue with my Proranolol if I need it.  So far I haven't had to use it.  I have fast and slow acting for just incase.  I do go back the end of this month to see how I'm doing on the synthroid.  I have been lucky, if I feel as if something is not right my doctor will get me in as soon as she can to make sure she can answer anything I need.

My reference ranges are TSH :  0.40- 4.50
                                T4 Free :  0.8 - 1.8
                                T3 Free:  230-420

if you are within those ranges you should be fine.   But get another doc.

You can have both, very rare though.  You need a better doc.

Please go on the thyroid form here. You will get answers the same day there!!!
