Husband

On June 10 my husband asked me to look at his foot he said it was sore.  I didn't see anything and ignored it.  One week later the foot is 3 times the size red and blue in color and has a black
growith the size of a egg growing out the side.  The doctor in the hospital lanzed it and just covered it and gave him antibotics.  One week later he was on iv vancomycin for 5 weeks.  The sore started to heel but his bum and back also had the large ulcers on them.  They look like someone scooped them out with a spoon.  He is still wearing bandages and is back on antibotic (antibiotic) pills as they have returned.  The pain went into his bone and formed ostomeltis.  He has had recurrent consitpation for 8 months and now the doctor wonders if this has something to do with it.  There is no bite site
anywhere on his body.  Nothing he takes seems to cure these sores?  He is not diabetic or has not had any disease in his whole life until June 10 start of this problem.  He has been examined by a infectious disease doctor, a surgeon, a bone specialist.  No one can come up with the answer of why his body has these ulcers on it.  The one on his back has never healed and is still weeping.  They call him a medical mystery.  His blood level always shows high white blood count and his red blood count is getting lower everytime he has it taken.  He gets dizzy and is having trouble breathing many days.  He is nauseous and feels like he is going to vomit most of the time.  He has not lost a lot of weight as of yet.  Please any advise would help.

This sounds bizarre and I would wager that he would have to seek treatment at a well known medical facility, such as Mayo.

If you have access to a digital camera, I would take photos and post them to a free hosting site such as photobucket.com
From there, you will see that each picture has an address and you can copy & paste it to the board, so that the doctor can view them.

I'm sure they've checked but has anyone considered MRSA or flesh-eating bacteria??  I hope you can find some answers.
