Unfortunately, this is part of the medical merry-go-round.
The infection your Ortho is looking for will not show on a CT scan or other.
Ewford is right, as the infectious agents are hiding within cell membrane
and in the immune system. The body's own immune system cannot detect them. You need to go to the experts.
Wishing you well.

Since this is INTRACELLULAR, they will probably miss it.
I went to an Orthapi doct and they are now going to do a whole body scan to see if its an infectoin or the start of something.. I will keep everyone posted to let you know how it goes.. Sunshine
I agree with nicodicreta about the Infectious Mycoplasmas and how they use cholesterol and sterols. The cells have Lipids that "plug holes" and the lipids are lost causing the bacteria to become intracellular. Mycoplasmas are known to "hibernate" and come out after an illness, traumatic event, or lowered immune system from a virus or bacteria. The researchers are not sure if it is the Mycoplasma or the virus that "triggers" the long term illnesss, but long term pulsed antibiotic therapy slowly kills the bacteria until the immune system can hold it in check.
Check out the leading resaearchers webpage at www (dot) IMMED (dot) org. Substitute the (dot) for a period.
Thank you so much I am going to look into this and do so research..
Hey Everyone, Happy October!
I had to go back to my notes on this one, as I remembered a connection
to pregnancy and these symptoms. ( I do mainly therapy now- I'm getting a bit rusty with cellular medicine)
When cholesterol is taken away from the cells, there's a disruption in the hormonal production, as cholesterol is an instrumental co-factor in this process. That is the reason you may see pathogenic influences and changes within the endocrine/hormonal system, during pregnancy and menstrual cycle for example.
Cholesterol (sterols) is the preferred fuel for Pathogenic Mycoplasmas.
As this Cholesterol depletion continues, there are more long term serious consequences, one of them being is impaired energy production in the mitochondria of the cells. With limited cholesterol, the cell structure alters
and the Pathogen simply attaches itself to the mitochondria, holding the entire cell hostage and given such conditions such as low immune function, low PH or trauma, eventually trigger cell death.
So this cellular invasion by these infectious pathogens explains these
symptoms and the connection to this this "underlying mitochondrial disorder".
My opinion is to find knowledgeable and expert Doctors in this area of medicine. Do not waste decades of your life waiting for vague or wrong answers from doctors and specialists that are not up with the research and treatment in this field.. (the vast majority)
If you need help taking a a proper direction in this, let me know.
Blessings to all, Nikodicreta
I just commented but Forgot to add that I also have probs with neck and back, nerves/disks etc painful...
I have problems in just about every body system and all my "parts" seem to have some sort of problem in addition to having autoimmune problems. My symptoms got a lot worse after I had 2nd baby. I was initially diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. After 10 years of being sick Drs are thinking I have underlying mitochondrial disorder. I guess if there are multisystem problems that drs cant figure out why and cant diagnose specific problem can be mitochondrial. My tests are also usually normal so Drs can't understand why I have so many problems. Is anyone else in your family ill? MDA and UMDF have good websites explaining mito diseases if you want to see if it could fit. Otherwise maybe fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue? Hope you feel better soon!
No I was not given blood. I have a buldge disc on L4-L5 spine from my pregnants and im taking perc meds for the pain a day. I think, can the meds be causing all this inflammation and achyness but the doctors say no.. Now I'm not getting my periode either and went to gyno doct Wed. He took blood for my hormones to see if there out of wack from pregnants.. Still tring to find an answer.. I am also trying something new that I saw on tv Prickly pear cactus.. I'm making shakes with it and other fruits to see if the inflammation goes down..
Were you given blood for the C section? Blood could have been infected.
