Is a cure close?

I was diagnosed with MS in 2002.  Is a cure close?

I am sorry but as of now there is no cure for MS. The disease is chronic and slowly progressive and the symptoms can be well managed by medications and physical therapies. Medications help slow down the progression but cannot stop it. Most people live a very active life for 20 or more years after which one may expect to compromise on certain activities. However, most people with MS lead a normal life. Please discuss with your treating doctor. Take care!
