Hello. I am looking for some help with my daughter. She has seen a ENT, Allergist, Urologist, Cardiologist & most recently an Infectious disease doctor. No one can figure out what is wrong w/ my 6 yr old.
There is a long medical history of repeated infections. Shots of antibiotics, then 10 days worth clear it up then 1-2 weeks later it is all back. High fever ( 104+) , blood in urine (lab work shows no UTI or Kidney infection) ear infection (no pain) sinus infections (again, no pain & no cold before) Her WBC is anywhere from 15,000-23,000 during these episodes. She can literally wake up in the morning w/ no illness to having 104+ fever...take her to the doctor & I am told she has all these issues.... how is that possible & what is the underlined cause for this?? Her red blood cells are all in good range...so they know it can not be Leukemia. She has been tested for Lupus, Cystic Fibrosis, no allergies. She has an abnormality on the outside of her rt kidney (has nothing to do w/the function). I am looking for help. Please. As of today she is 9 days on the highest dose of the strongest antibiotic her DR can prescribe, fever for 10 days. I am told it is not viral. Her WBC went from 15,000 to 5,000 as of this morning...but now her ears are back to infected. He can not explain how that happened. I'm tired of hearing she's a zebra...please... anyone hear of anything like this?
